FAQ
Where are your products made?
We partner with small workshops across the United States to produce our range of children’s toys and furniture, most of which are handcrafted. We’re proud to work with artisans and support small businesses throughout our supply chain.
What makes your pieces nontoxic?
Safety is a top priority for us, and we go to great lengths to keep our products free of toxic chemicals. To that end, our paints and finishes are isocyanate-free, phosphate-free, formaldehyde-free, and lead-free. Additionally, our kitchens have been rigorously tested by a CPSC-approved third-party safety lab for lead, heavy metals, and to comply with California's stringent Prop 65 requirement. Please see a complete list of our materials here.
What materials do you use?
We take safety and environmental responsibility seriously, so we only use the finest materials for our toys and furniture. We source naturally sustainable Baltic birch from the Baltics and solid maple grown here in North America. We chose these materials for their unparalleled strength, aesthetic appeal, and eco-friendly characteristics. Our nontoxic finishes are low-VOC, HAPs-free, lead-free, phthalate-free, formaldehyde-free, and have also been independently tested for lead, phthalates, heavy metals, and adherence to the federal toy safety standard. Do you comply with safety standards?
Yes! Our products have been rigorously tested by an independent, CPSC-accredited lab to comply with relevant federal regulations. Our kitchens meet or exceed ASTM F 963 toy safety standards. For more information on our compliance certificates, please contact us at support@miltonandgoose.com.
What makes your play kitchen different from your competitors?
We built a one-of-a-kind play kitchen that marries form, function, and safety. Our play kitchens take a cue from real designer kitchens, have been rigorously tested to meet or exceed applicable safety standards, and are handcrafted right here in the USA from furniture-grade, eco-friendly woods and nontoxic finishes. No batteries, no particle board, and no MDF. Our play kitchens, like any quality children's furniture, are built to last, from day to day, sibling to sibling, and generation to generation.
